Dallas-Plano Atheists Meetup - Zoe's Kitchen [Snider Plaza] [CHANGED!]

Resurrecting a member request last visited a year ago, we're heading back to Zoe's, though it's a different location than last time.

This scheduling is a bit atypical, though, since it's scheduled concurrently with a Debate/conversation one of our members (Dr. Justin Fisher) is participating in at SMU the same night.  As such, the start-time is being set to 6PM even if some will probably still show up at the usual 7PM.  That way those that will need to leave early at least have a nearby dinner location before they cross the street to SMU.  Come and go any time depending on your needs or desires for the evening.

The lot just north of dallas hall (at daniel&athens) has free parking after 5. Could be a good place to park or move your car to.

I don't know any of you. Should I just look for a big group?

That's pretty much it, we're usually pretty recognizable. At places that have a greeter you can ask for the "Meetup" as that's how I make the reservations, but for counter-service places like this just look for the people that look like the photos on the event page. I'll be in my usual Hawaiian shirt with long hair and glasses and some bottles of wine (which is also pretty typical for me :). We're usually some of the happiest people in the place and very talkative and welcoming, if we see someone come in with a seeking look we'll probably wave you over.

Keith and I are here. Look for the row of tables right in the middle!

Is anyone driving down from or through Richardson? I'll get a ride back home from Justin, but if I can get a ride to the dinner from someone, I'd appreciate it.

I could head that way and pick you up, your place or UTD?

Jeff is picking me up. Sorry for the late reply--I didn't get a notification about your comment. Thanks for the offer!

The closest parking spaces to Zoe's are all marked 2-hour parking, which would probably be fine just for dinner, but might be risky if you're planning to eat and then walk into SMU for the debate. Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be park in the neighborhood a block or two east of the restaurant (across Hillcrest). Read the signs carefully, but you should be able to find a place that is residents only during the day, but free after 5.
