Dallas-Plano Atheists Meetup - Lazaranda Mexican Seafood Grill (DNT @ Belt Line)

A new place this week, but we're back to our regular schedule.

It's honest-to-goodness coastal Mexican cuisine (I believe some of the coastal emphasis is from Acapulco), but with some serious inland dishes as well (the pork is amazing).  The owner and chef have several restaurants in Monterrey, and the chef trained and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu bringing some serious knowledge and technique to the food of his home country.

The bar is fully stocked and has an amazing array of Tequilas.

There are also some dishes they still make that are no longer listed on the menu like the Mushroom Empanadas that I recommend.

For more information, visit their Main Site, or go straight to a PDF of their Menu.

Or, as always, just come and chat (particularly if timing, commitments or other needs mean dinner is elsewhere, come on by anyway when you can).

The way this is mapped on google maps is hilarious, it reminds me of Harry Potter. Actually after looking at their website and using street view, I gathered that they are located in the group of businesses on the southwest corner of the intersection, not literally in the dead center of the intersection.

Like so many places in Dallas, parking can be challenging, but it's also all just right there in one big lot and you can park behind the building or further to the west where there's usually some spots.

And...I edited the map to move the marker closer to where it should be. Funny how the previous groups that put the restaurant into the database didn't correct that, but it should be better now.

The conversation has to be better than that half hearted "debate' last week.

After weeks and weeks, finally going to make it out. Bringing the husband. Looking forward to meeting new folks and catching up with those that I already know.
