How/when did you become an atheist? [or agnostic, non-theist, freethinker, humanist, pagan, or whatever label you choose for yourself]

When I was 19 I was in a catastrophic car accident. The outcome was really trying for me. While I was healing I sought out and learned a lot about human behavior through my education and many experiences. Much of what I had previously learned growing up (via religious teachings) made little sense anymore. A better understanding and determiner of human behavior came through what I had learned and was learning in school (which was based on scientific research). Ultimately, I have found that the further scientific findings progress the more complex and amazing the answers and the questions that need to be investigated are.

Introduction

I'm a science oriented social girl who enjoys physical activity meeting new people and intellectual growth. I have a background in business, education in psychology and am converted from an extremist, Christ-following familial foundation.
