How/when did you become an atheist? [or agnostic, non-theist, freethinker, humanist, pagan, or whatever label you choose for yourself]

All organisms with the ability to think are born Atheists. As they progress through life, their brains accumulate input and impressions are made. A lot of this input can be extremely confusing and even scary, thus the need to "explain" the unknown and create dieties to explain certain things. I do not feel such need as I believe in the rational of science and the glory of nature.


I have recently moved here from the North-East, Connecticut. I was worried that I may be the only Atheist in Texas. I have been pleasantly suprised at the diversity of people here and look forward to meeting more like-minded folks.
