Introduction

Hiya. I'm Bartt Warburton, your friendly nrighborhood ukulele player from a faraway neighborhood.

How long have you played ukulele?

I started really early this morning, so it's been about 7 hours thus far.

What level of player do you consider yourself?

Level? I'm fairly level-headed. Does that count?

What type pf uke activities are you interested in? (lessons, playing, open mic, social, etc.)

I'm interested in playing the national anthem at the Ballpark, before a Rangers game.

How may and what kind of ukes do you own?

Can you really OWN a uke? I think of it more as a partnership. Which means that my uke and I have an open relationship, because I play many ukes, and I let other people play my ukes.

Hi, Bartt. I've sent out feelers to one of the Meetup organizers and also to another friend who has some contacts. One possible venue would be Pa'ina Lounge which hosts some ukulele events as well as jazz/blues performers. The other is Aloha Warehouse, a retail establishment that sells ukuleles in all budget ranges as well as Hawaiian-themed gifts and other items; they've hosted Hawaiian performers but I was told recently that the owner wants to host non-Hawaiian events too. I'll let you know.

Welcome to the Rebellion, Bartt. I always hear good things about you and one day soon I'll take one of your workshops. Will you be at Wine Country Uke this year?

Hello, Bart. Thank you for the welcome and the link to your wonderful site. A bevy of chords, charts, and best of all, solo notes! I truly appreciate the knowledge that you've made available to each and everyone. All the best, Chris

Hi, Bartt. Thank you for the song charts. I apologize for the slow response but I have a herniated disc in my spine and I'm out of commission for a while. I appreciate your thinking of me.

Hi Bartt - I won't be able to make it to the picnic (sigh). I wanted to also let you know that it is the same date as the Disney Hall Uke-along series (10:00-1:00 on Sat Aug 10th) so you may see some showing up late. They also announced a "flash mob" gathering after the Uke-Long and I don't know how long that will take... I will be out of town so will miss all the events this week-end (big sigh)

Hi, here's my new fb artist page if you want to keep in touch (facebook.com/rayankrpt). I'll be active on this site, too. It was a great pleasure to play a few tunes with you today.

    HI Bartt,
Can you change the site back to make me the organizer ? I don't know how you changed it to begin with . I guess I had allowed others to suggest new meet up events and be co-organizers but I didn't know you could take it over...
    Cheers,-Sue
