Creative Problem Solving with Post-It Notes

Do you ever have a problem with disconnected pieces of information? Do you argue with your co-workers on where to begin? Do you hate sitting in meetings trying to get alignment on what to do? If you do, you will love this month's interactive talk on how to do creative problem solving with post-notes.

Brian Sullivan, Usability Principal at Sabre, will teach you how to become a Post-It-Note Ninja! Brian uses post-it notes in his daily work.  It is one of his favorite tools.  Post-it notes were also instrumental in his favorite Halloween costume, too.

Post-it notes are one of the best tools to solve any issue. The size of the post-it note forces you to usually put in only one piece on information. You can move the post-it notes to different locations--chunking information together, re-ordering, and prioritizing (as needed).

Yes, your sticky issue can be solved with stickie-notes.

The size of your problem is simply just understanding the different pieces of information and their relationship to each another. In this session, you will learn about 10 different ways to solve problems using post-it notes.

You will break into team to generate and evaluate the post-it notes. These methods will help you to become a better problem solver and more productive at work.

So, grab a pen and post-it notes...you, Ninja Assassin. Let's solve those sticky problems with a handful of stickie-notes.

The Creative Problem Solving with Postf-It Notes was a great exercise to think differently, and 'sharpen our tools' for those who are already a practitioner of this methodology.

Basic product and there is a ton of material on the web. It is good for me in decision making and mapping for projects. I like the post its and the additions. All of these are tools to get your thoughts organized.

One time, I created a Halloween costume made of stickie notes. I put the name of famous people on a ton of stickies. When I went up to someone, I would drop one of the stickies and tell the person that I was a NAME DROPPER. It was a bloody mess, but tons of fun!
