Subject: [DallasUX] Invitation to a FREE Mobile App Development Training Course!

Hi Dallas UX Group,

I wanted to reach invite you to a free technical workshop. It's a free full-day training course to learn everything you need to know to build your first mobile app — with in HTML5+PhoneGap+jQuery!

We have two trainings scheduled for the Dallas area (December 4th in Arlington and December 5th in Richardson) and I think it would be an awesome fit for Dallas UX.

All the info lives on our event pages but there's a brief description below:

The training will cover the following topics:

- Essential mobile features of HTML5
- How to use a UI framework like jQuery Mobile to quickly build an app interface
- How to use a Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS)
- How to package your HTML5 code as a native app for iOS/iPhone/iPad, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry — with PhoneGap/Cordova

Attendees will learn how to create mobile apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone or mobile browsers. Along with a review the important mobile features of standards like HTML5 and CSS. You will learn how to use a mobile UI framework (jQuery Mobile), how to package your app with a native bridge (PhoneGap) and how to add app features with a Backend-as-a-Service (open-source Usergrid). By the end of the workshop, we will have built a fully-featured app, ready for release on the app store, without having written a single line of server-side code!

The course is at no cost to you, all the software & services we’ll be using are free too — every component we use in the class is open-source!

I hope you share this with your network (group, peers, students, colleagues, etc.)

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.

We hope to see you there!
