The Dallas Area Boardgames Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • May 24, 2014 · 2:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Due to room availability at Fuddruckers, I had to reschedule our meetup in May to be on the 4th Saturday, May 24, starting at the usual time, 2:00 p.m., and ending at 6:00 p.m.

Our regular location is now the Fuddruckers Restaurant on the southwest side of Frankford Road and Dallas North Tollway. They've got a large party room that can hold 72 people, a variety of food choices (not only "the world's best hamburgers") and excellent lighting.

Bring family, friends, and any board games that you'd like to play. I have reserved the room for 4 hours of fun!

We will not play any single game for more than 2 hours without unanimous approval of the players. A donation of $1 is requested to cover Meetup's fee. No smoking, gambling or alcoholic beverage is permitted.

Children are welcome provided that their parents bring games or toys to keep them occupied. Older children may play with the adults if no player objects. For more information about the restaurant, see http://www.fuddrucker...

If you have any questions or problems with this meetup, you may call me at[masked]-0544.

I had a good time this time. We played rummikub which is a game I like. I also learned a new game that was fun to play. An enjoyable afternoon.

Is there anyone coming that would be interested in playing settlers of Catan or king of Tokyo?

How many will play if I bring Trivial Pursuit or 3D chess?

I will bring an old game, "Winning Ticket" (in case anyone is interested). It's a simple lottery game. Fun for all ages.

If I'm able to make it, this will be my first time. I've been wanting to get into board gaming, but I haven't been able to. Consequently, I don't know the rules to game that might be played. I hope it will be all right to give me some chance to learn while playing

I plan to make the may 24th game date. I enjoy playing scrabble, rummikub and other games. Hope there will be people there that like those games as well.

I like to play Rummikub; I will try to remember to bring my set. With this group, you'll learn to play lots of boardgames. Few members want to play Scrabble though. If you're an avid Scrabble player, check out the Dallas Scrabble Club.
