Introduction
I grew up in West TX with chickens but now I have just finished my chicken house & anxious to get some pullets for my back yard near a creek in De Soto. They will be free range hens hopefully pets for me & my dog Tammy Faye.

What breed of chickens do you own?
I prefer Dominicker or Dominique and Rhode Island Reds --I would appreciate any recommendations regarding a good source.
What do you like most about owning chickens?
Chickens just exude happiness & a work ethic beyond compare. I adore their clucking sounds as they go about their chores --then there is nothing like a fresh free range egg from this funny little creature.
