naked neck, reds, mixed breeds
they are so fun to watch out the back window. They are good at eating veggie and fruit leftovers, eggs are great, don't eat the chickens though
I incubate eggs in the classroom and let them hatch for my Biology students then raise the chicks. I get eggs from my neighbor who has lots of various breeds. Its always a surprise to see what breeds I end up with.
I live in Irving many in this neighborhood have chickens. I collect leaves dump them in the backyard. My chickens scratch and dig finding seeds, bugs etc and do a nice job of breaking it down.
lots of folks, standing room only, I went out and visited his chickens
