The results of improvement breeding. Most of our heritage breeds have degraded over the past 6 to 8 decades to the point they only resemble the breed in coloring. I hope to restore some of these breeds.
I'm a geologist that established a small hatchery, near Austin, dedicated to breeding rare and heritage chickens. We hope to help avoid extinction by placing them in backyards across Texas.
