HumanLight Celebration

What is HumanLight? It is a secular winter holiday, celebrated on December 23. Rather than celebrate the supernatural, HumanLight encourages us to have fun enjoying music, art, food, and each other’s company. It also gives us an opportunity to convey that although we don’t believe in the supernatural, we do believe in the growth and betterment of all people through reason, science, empathy, joy, optimism and moral excellence.
http://www.humanlight... Come celebrate with us! Have a night of fun with dinner, candle decorating and a book exchange - plus great conversation with friends! We have a party room reserved at Fuddruckers in Dallas for December 22nd at 7pm. You can order off the menu at Fuddruckers - they have mostly hamburgers - but some other things too.
http://www.fuddrucker... Kids will be decorating HumanLight candles to take home. Please bring a used book that you enjoyed to exchange at the meetup. Children should also bring a book to trade!

This meetup was one of the best yet! I met new people who hadn't come to events before, and I hope all of them come again! The kids had a blast decorating candles (thanks, Crofts!), and all of us adults seemed to have a lot in common--conversation was easy!

A good time was had by all! The kids seemed to enjoy decorating the candles and socializing. I'm glad I got a chance to meet some of the new families. Happy HumanLight everyone!

Recently moved and cleaned off the book shelves. I am not sure I have many I would want to part with right now. I may stop by Half Price Books this weekend.
