Tyler State Park (about 2 hours East of Dallas)
Friday, October 19 - Sunday, October 21 (staying 2 nights)
Join us for one night or both! Check in time is as early as 2pm.
What we will be doing:
Tyler State park has a lake for swimming, fishing, and boating (boat rentals available). There are hiking and bike trails. We will have a group campfire with smores in the evening and some fun activities for the kids. Nearby in the city of Tyler is a zoo and a planetarium.
Entrance fee into the park is $5 per day for those age 13 and older.
Tent/RV campsites range in price from $14 - $26 per night.
There are screened shelters available for $28 per night. These shelter sites allow 8 people and have electricity, water, a picnic table and fire ring. Tents are allowed at each shelter site as well. There are also a few limited use cabins that are $50 per night. These are climate controlled and are furnished with bunk beds and a table and chairs but no sink or bathroom and sleep 5-6.
