Presentation on Foreign Data Wrappers in 9.3

Greetings PostgreSQL Gurus!

Table talk generated a lot of topics for several meetings into the future.  Most popular was Foreign Data Wrappers, which we'll be covering on the 4th of December.  Since 9.3.1 is out, we'll go into this with the newest FDW's that support push down quals, writable views, and generally better query planner support.

We've also gotten some feedback from the PG.US organizing group for a PGDay in Dallas.  We'll give you an update on what's going on and when that's going to happen.  Now is the time to start thinking about possible presentations for PGDay.  We'll have a call for presentations in January, and as a premium DFW Pug member, you are definitely invited to make a case for your presentation.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!  We'll see you at Improving Enterprises, our gracious host location.

The examples from Merlin was excellent. I have a grasp of the FDW and how it is different from the dblink contrib. The discussion on NoSql and JSON was very interesting. Excellent presentation on the subject and great group discussion.
