Re: [JSNinjas] TOMORROW (Tuesday): Club AJAX - Web Evangelist, Molly E. Holzschlag - HTML5 and the Open Web

Hey guys, I always mention Club Ajax at the DallasJS meetups. They actually meet in the same building same time just the day before us at Improving Enterprises. They're also usually a very big group, and do a good job of highlighting some of the best news in the Internet/JavaScript world over the past month. Definitely worth checking their meetings out. =)

Looking forward to seeing y'all at the NodeJS talk Wednesday!

Regards,

Adam Crabtree

HTML5 and the Open Web

As the open standard for web applications, HTML5 takes markup to a new level, requiring web developers and designers to re-examine the way they?ve worked in the past, and will be working in days and months to come. Presented by Molly E. Holzschlag, Web Standards advocate, evangelist, and developer relations team member at Opera Software, this talk helps demystify HTML5 and show how it fits in with technologies such as JavaScript, CSS3, SVG and mobile technologies to offer rich features to the application-centric, multi-modal Web.

New Look

Club AJAX has a new look! Bob Byron and Mike Wilcox still run the local DFW AJAX User Group, but the website will now be blog-focused to provide more information about AJAX to a wider audience.

In addition to our blog and news, we will provide resources from our monthly Club AJAX user group meetings. Most of the meetings are recorded and available in the Videos section. Depending on the format, the Presentations themselves will be posted, or linked to if possible. And any code-alongs, demos, or examples will be available in our Examples section.

If you live in the area, come to the meetings! If nothing else you get free pizza provided by one of our many sponsors!
