The Purpose of the Opener

It's not a compliment and therefore a COME-ON.
It's not a LINE.
It's interesting.
It's original.
It's playful.
You are seen as fun and playful and there is humor in it. (Not COMEDY, but humor).
It leads to so many routines.
It makes her CURIOUS about whether you are interested in her or what's going on with you.
It makes you look confident.
You aren't LAME by beginning with the LAME "Excuse me, I didn't mean to bother you but..." entries.

REMEMBER: It's an OPENER, not a PICK-UP LINE. PU-LINES are amatuer shit. OPENERS are for the PROs. They are wonderfully SNEAKY. Girls don't know that you are hitting on them. You show them everything they want in a man BEFORE you show interest. SMILE, CONFIDENCE, SENSE of HUMOUR, and WILLINGNESS to WALK AWAY.

Summary: The opener shows her everything she wants in a man before you show interest.
