Meditation with a group of people and meditation alone each have their benefits. I encourage anyone interested in meditation to include both in their practice. In addition to my private meditation, I also meet with a small group on Monday evenings.
I am very interested in different practices and traditions of meditation.
Tonight in particular I detected a great deal of enthusiasm among the people who were present. I heard several of my new friends describe a new (or renewed) commitment to mindful practice. This is quite encouraging. May the time that I spend in meditation, and my own practice of mindful living also be a support for them.
