Dallas Pen Club Meeting

"Does Handwriting have a Future?" by Jan McCleskey, who owns The Handwriting Clinic in Plano.  She will speak to many of our questions about how writing is taught in schools, whether cursive will survive,  and how handwriting affects brain development and fine motor skills.

We will also be signing up volunteers for the Dallas Pen Show.  We will need people to work the auction, the hospitality tables, and perhaps other roles.

As always, there will be pens to see, buy, trade, etc., plus the usual camaraderie, pen bragging, and members willing to help newbies.

New members always welcome! If you like pens, come check us out!

A variety of unusual writing instruments were on display and available for purchase. Books in the pen library were available for members to borrow. Jan McCleskey of The Handwriting Clinic presented an excellent program about how and when children learn cursive handwriting. Volunteers signed-up to help at the Dallas Pen Show on 20 & 21 September 2013.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
