Edible Wild Plant Walk

Would you love to learn how to feed yourself and your family with food that is nutrient-rich, delicious, and free?   Edible wild plants are all around us, and made for our enjoyment and nourishment, if only we know what they are and how to use them.

Experience the peaceful, joyful meditation of acquiring your food while walking on the earth, the wind delighting your skin and the sun warming your body, fresh air filling your lungs, harvesting living plants that are so much fresher than anything from the grocery store.

Reconnect with your origins as a natural being, and explore mother nature's wondrous bounty.

Truly know where your food comes from!

Class Agenda:

We will take a plant walk all over the land to learn about the specific wild edibles of late spring in North Texas. You will be able to taste them as we go!

Our host for this walk is Eden's Organic Garden Center in Balch Springs (close to Dallas), an amazing local organic farm.

You will receive recipes and ideas for feeding yourself and your family from the land. Class investment is $20 per person. We are also open to partial or full barters (contact us for details). Children are welcome to attend at a discounted cost of $5 per child (6 and under at no cost).

What to bring:

Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots.  Bring a camera if you'd like to photo the edibles we discover!
