2nd Annual Greenville SUSTAINABILITY FAIR: Open for Vendors, Speakers, Demos

What is a sustainable lifestyle? Doing anything that reduces the use of resources; is earth friendly, supports the local community or moves a person towards self-sufficiency.

Some things may be familiar like: Renewable Energy, Rainwater Harvesting, Renewable Transportation, Conservation and Energy-Efficient Building. Others may be less familiar: Alternative Building Materials, Sustainable Food Growing, Medicinal Herbs, Community, Homesteading, and Prepping. Many vendors will have products for sale.

The city has allowed us to use a downtown area of two city blocks to make this the largest event of its type in our area. It is presented by the Greenville Farmers Market from 8 am until 4 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

We have space for over 100 vendors and exhibitors plus additional space for dozens of speakers and demonstrations. We want to cover all areas of sustainability and will fill categories on a first come-first serve basis.

Vendor fees are very reasonable and there is an early-bird price IF PAID BY August 15. All booths are spacious, most are covered and many have electricity available. See booth layout and apply online here:

The event is from 8 until 4. The longer you can attend, the more you will learn, of course, as talks and some demos will only be given once. That said, some demos will be given several times, particularly if they are given in the exhibitor's booth. And there are many vendors and groups with displays and products. Terry

They're beautiful! I got a brick (twelve decks) to give as gifts.
    Check them out.

I can't make it but one of our older Sustainable Community Development majors, James McDowell, will attend and man a table.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
