composting; a lawnless, pollution-free yard; businesses and restaurants within walking distance of neighborhoods; livable cities.
All sorts of perennials. Volunteer trees and other plants. Not much in the way of food crops...garlic and tomatoes for now.
Not too much at this time. Right now it's just a lot easier to conform to some societal norms but to consume only a fraction of what the average person does. I am striving to create a sensible, attractive, natural, bio-diverse landscape that can be maintained without the need for power tools on a regular basis. Finally, I seek to meet like-minded people who live close by. I understand that being a Meetup group the goal is to meet, but I consider driving a marginally sustainable activity, and am not sure that driving to events to talk about sustainability really makes sense. Once in a while, of course, but not on a regular basis. Please message me if you live close by and want to talk about how to live more sustainably.
Hi, I live in Richardson, as sustainably as I can.
It offers great opportunities for like-minded people to meet. Whoever thought up Meetup is a smart person (or are smart people)!
