Mexican cuisine! It is a self-standing restaurant with parking in the front and at the side of the restaurant. The restaurant is on the south corner (It's due south!) of Lemmon Avenue and Douglas Avenue. The rice and beans are not totally vegetarian; they use chicken broth in the rice and some pork for flavoring in the beans, but I'm a pretty liberal vegetarian. Just letting you know!

Sounds good, but would rather support eateries that show more support for us vegetarians. For more casual Tex-Mex - Taco Joint on Peak is a good find -yum!

I found out I may be working late. Will anyone be there after 9? Is there anyone who will give me their phone # to call to see if you guys are still there? I really really want to eat mexican food and I don't want to eat alone.

I said no since I work until 8. I work near downtown so I can get to Lemmon Ave. Pretty quickly. Will anyone still be there around 8-9pm?

The black beans are vegetarian and you can get sauteed veggies instead of rice. They have fantastic veggie fajitas!

It was well decorated but a bit too noisy for my fiance and I. We could hardly hear conversations. The food was good however.

I heard pretty positive reports on all but the salad, and what I had was delicious. We had good conversations, but if we do Julio's again, I'd vote to go to one with a patio, where it would be easier to hear each other. So maybe not until the fall.
