Hike Cleburne State Park

We’ll be hiking about 6-7 mile loop consisting of the Fossil Ridge Trail, Coyote Run Trail, and the Spillway Trail. Varied terrain with plenty of ups and downs. There are some rocky areas so sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. May also be a few shallow (ankle deep) stream crossings, although considering the drought the creeks may be dry.

Meet at the parking lot on the left about ¼ mile past the entrance gate. Meet at 11:45; hike starts at noon. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Early dinner afterward at the Caddo Street Grill located at 211 S. Caddo Street in Cleburne.

Call Deborah [masked]) or Greg [masked]) if you can't find us.

hate to back out last minute, but the mountain cedar and other pollen is so high now, I don't want to test fate and rub up against one of my big triggers! I hope to catch up with you all another time.

Is there an entrance fee? I see on the Cleburne State Park website that there is $5 fee per adult. Is that right?

    January 23, 2013

    • Deborah

Yes. All state parks charge $5.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
