Downtown Night Walking Tour and Trolley Ride Uptown

Join us for a walking tour of downtown Dallas followed by a trolley ride uptown. This is a very long, casual walking tour where we will stop at numerous points of interest along the way. It will take between 2 1/2 to 3 hours total. The distance is between 3 1/2 to 4 miles. Meet behind Old Red at 7. We will start walking around 7:30-7:45. No dogs are allowed on this tour. The trolley is too crowded for dogs during this time.

This tour is spectacular at night. I have done this walk for 5 or 6 years now and am impressed with the development I have seen downtown. Following are some of the points of interest you will see along the way:

(Click on a link for more details)

Old Red Courthouse/JFK Memorial Plaza

Union Station

Ferris Plaza Park

Lubben Plaza Park

Pioneer Plaza/Pioneer Cemetery

Dallas City Hall Plaza

Magnolia Hotel /Pegasus

Golden Boy

Main Street Garden Park

Thanksgiving Plaza

The Arts District

Clyde Warren Park

Uptown Trolley

Pro Tips:

Parking is easy. Just park next to a meter anywhere near the Old Red Courthouse for free.

Have a good late lunch or early dinner. You may want to bring some snacks. This is a long walk so you will need energy.

Wear good walking shoes.

Consider the length of the walk. The pace is not fast but it is a very long walk.

Be prepared to stop at points of interest along the way. We may end up hanging at certain spots for a while if the vibe is good. If you want to go off on your own at any time that's ok.

Photos: There are some good photo ops so please bring your good camera if you are a photog type. Here are some shots from previous outings.....

Really enjoyed this the first time I went. Sorry to miss it this time, but I'm booked with a work party. I hope it's more party than work :).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
