Of all the fiction writer's groups in the Greater Danbury area named "The Greater Danbury Scribes," this is by far the best!

Come join us to talk about writing, workshop your writing, learn about writing, or simply to be able to say that you are a part of the world-famous "Danbury Scribes." We meet on Tuesday nights, typically, and occasionally on Fridays. We are looking for fiction writers who are serious about their craft. You don't need a ton of experience, but you do need to be serious about your writing and working toward publication.

We accept all fiction writers, except erotic -- and torture porn involving lobsters and mermaids (talk about a flooded market). And any story where the protagonist wakes up at the end and it's all a dream. And stuff about Unicorns named Charlie. Otherwise, everything is acceptable. Oh, sorry, also no stories about serial killers that like I Love Genie re-runs. Just a personal thing with me. If the serial killer likes Mattlock reruns, we can talk.
