Dancing to a great 80's band, JEDI MIND TRIP at The B.O.B

As of May 12th, it will be my 1 year anniversary hosting the Dance Craze-GR group. Whoooo Hoooo!!!!

It has been a fun, exciting year spending time with my fellow Dance Fanatics dancing our hearts out to some great bands at a variety of venues. I want to send out a warm hearted thank you to everyone in the group who has made it what it is today!!!!  :)

This is the part of hosting a group that I don't necessary like. One aspect of hosting a meetup event is that you are required to pay a pretty pricey organizer fee ($72 every 6 months) just to maintain a meetup group.

I don't like the idea of requiring a mandatory Membership fee....rather, I prefer to keep it as a voluntary donation option for members.

So, I will be collecting during this event any donations that members are able to contribute toward the membership fee. I will have a collection container and will not be running around personally asking for a donation, so it will be only IF you can contribute. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help maintain this group and keep us going and enjoy future fantastic dance events.

Also, I hate to change things up, but I am still a little hesitate to see the band, In the Red, after the last time we saw them (wasn't impressed with the head-banging type music they switched too during that event), so switching the Venue Location and Band to the following:

Location:  The H.O.M.E. (formerly known as The Crush) in The B.O.B. on Monroe

Band: JEDI MIND TRIP (80's band)

Date: Saturday, May 17, 2014

Start Time:  8:30 pm.

Cover Charge:  $5 per person after 9 pm (it is free if you get there BEFORE 9 pm)

I will be arriving there at about 8:20ish pm and I will be there till approximately 12:30 pm, but members are welcome to stay later till they close, if they prefer.

I will try to have tables reserved for our group and will have our "Dance Craze-GR" Meet-up signs placed on them so members can spot our group, but since this place doesn't reserve tables for us, it would help if everyone can get there as early as possible to help me hold enough table spaces.

Please RSVP so I can reserve enough seating for our group.

Glad you didn't get too concerned when I turned you upside down. You never know what the reaction will be when you first try it with someone.

The band was great and we had a cozy and comfortable seating area for our group. It was great spending time with everyone and thanks to those who joined me for a brief walk around town after the event. :)

We are in the cushioned lounge area on the other side of the dance floor in the place called The HOME (formerly known as the Crush) on 1st floor of the BOB. I have meetup signs on the tables.

Several people who have heard this band said they're amazing. I can't wait to hear them.

Yeah, they use to be better, but the last show they were full out Heavy Metal head banging and we were not impressed. I was going to give them a second chance, but have changed my mind and switching the Venue location and bands to a great-sounding 80's band called Jedi Mind Trip at the B.O.B.

If everyone gets there BEFORE 9 pm, there isn't any cover. The band will be playing in the H.O.M.E (formerly known as the Crush) in the B.O.B. So you only have to worry about the cost of parking. I will be attaching the City of Grand Rapids, parking guide to this link.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
