I've sent everyone an individual e-mail with instructions, and now its TIME to follow-up. If you RSVP'd (without) purchasing a ticket -- now is the time to fix that. Thank you!

For 20% discount you must call Liz directly at (310)[masked] for your discounted ticket. Be sure to mention that you are part of L.A. Dance Performance Fans (for GROUP rate)!! (Do NOT go thru UCLA Royce Hall box office)!!

Group Sale Discounts: 15 or more: Section A - 10% off ($85.50)
Sections B, C & D 20% off. ($24-$60)-- So, please tell your friends & colleagues. I will tell mine. And please purchase your tickets while seats remain available! Thanks everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also: $2 processing fee is extra!

***PLEASE READ the link listed below carefully before posting questions/comments that may be redundant. Thank you for your cooperation! ***

If you go into the link--look to the right margin. Where it says BUY TICKETS in blue caps are the ticket options. Tickets in the balcony go quickly to UCLA students. The balcony is fine -- and you can rent binoculars for $5 (which I have done).  Orchestra seats are always optimum, of course. When you read the link and 'check out' the program --THEN please specify which seats you have purchased. Parking is $11. We can meet up at my home which is 15 minutes away and carpool -- or go individually. So, lets take it one step at a time!

http://losangelesballet.org/the-balanchine-festival-gold

Balanchine Festival GOLD is part one of a historic two-part series of George Balanchine masterworks. It contains the following four works: La Sonnambula- Love, jealousy, mystery and murder combine to dramatic effect in this powerful one act ballet; Concerto Barocco - Where movement personifies music; Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux - Ballet bravura!; and The Four Temperaments - A fusion of classical and contemporary movement, exploring the medieval 'humors' attributed to the human body.

The BALANCHINE TALK before the performance was fascinating. Two sisters - both choreographers -- and a moderator who let them have the floor. The program and performance were lovely. I only met up with Toni and one of the intermissions and couldn't find the others. I kept running up and down the stairs from the balcony....it was a good workout...but not a great plan for a successful meet up. I hope everybody had good seats and enjoyed the performance. (sigh)

In the cafe!! Please text only. People get highly offended at cell phone conversations at the ballet.

I'm already in my seat but I will find you during the intermission .

Hi everybody! Sorry that we were not able to organize parking at my home and/or a quick bite at a restaurant nearby (Westfield Century City is walking distance) -- or a potluck at my home -- which has a nice outdoor pool and tables. Lets just make sure that we all have a chance to meet in the lobby and/or at the cute snack area at intermission. Parking is $11 a person. I've been here for 20 years and will never get used to it! LOL!

In fact, you NEED to email everyone. Some people have notifications turned off and won't see what you post here.

You can try emailing everyone individually. Unfortunately, it's likely that you'll get no response from at least 50% of the RSVPers. That's pretty typical for Meetup events. I hope you do better! Good luck!!

@Beth & Natalie: I was able to arrange something with Liz @ The Box Office. But, nobody has purchased tickets as of yet. I leave for NYC in a week or so. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Toni!! I am traveling to nyc -- so I went ahead and arranged something. Please call Liz & get tkts. while seats are available--I grabbed a row that had $24 seats and was well situated in the balcony. There are also orchestra seats if you choose to go that way. If you speak to Liz directly she will apply the discount and point out which seats have room for clumps of people!
