Dark and Light

Day and Night

Halloween, All Saints' Day and Fireworks Night are really the same festival, the Autumn festival of death and rebirth, of dark and light, of harvest plenty and making ready for winter. This festival has its origins deep in the land in which we live, and is often known as Samhaine. This is a very special time of year, and the energy with which Halloween and Fireworks Night are celebrated bears witness to this. Closely related, the Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico and other Latin countries.

It is a time when the veil between the worlds is thin and the unseen is close, a truly shamanic time. It is a time to honour those who have gone before us, to be at peace with the transience of our manifestaton in this physical world, and a time of love, light and celebration!

DOGA is ecstatic dance to live music, interwoven with meditation, sharing and creativity in many different forms. We welcome you to this evolving event.
[masked]pm (It is great if you can arrive promptly at 6pm, or soon afterwards). Bring natural food to share (optional). We finish the workshop at 9pm and then share food and enjoy community.

Oh thanks, I just noticed that £20 had come up automatically at the top. The real price is £8-£12. £10 is standard (we don't make a profit but we need to charge this to cover the cost of the very lovely venue). £8 is OK if you are really short of cash. £12 is great!

Hi, I've never been to one of these events before but I would love to come along. I have a question though- I'm 19 weeks pregnant, will this be a problem for my involvement?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
