Dance Friday Weekly Meetup

Dance with us from 8:30 pm - midnight at The First Parish Cambridge Unitarian Universalist Church at 3 Church St., Cambridge, MA.

The fabulous, fun-filled evening begins with a warm-up from 8:30 to 8:45 and continues with dancing until midnight to the tasty grooves served by our DJs du jour, the Ro3, Robin, Robert, and Rose.

Dancers of all ages and abilities are invited to dance barefoot, any way you like, with or without a partner, in a smoke and alcohol free environment. Children are welcome.

Dance Friday is an activity of the non-profit Movement Collective. Suggested Donation: $10-15, under  23 years old $5-15, or donate 45 minutes of your time to help out.  We recommend casual, light-weight, comfortable clothing that you can  move in.

I'm quoting Robin Williams, since (very sadly!) I missed it...
"Last night was a magical evening at dance Friday!
René Pfister, who danced for many years in Northampton
at dance spree, is directing Hair The Musical for Berklee College of Music, and he decided to bring his cast with him for a field trip to Dance Friday.
Tim and I were working with 2 new DJs giving their first sets at Dance Friday. The djs and the the actors fed off each other the energy was electric . At 11 the ,cast performed a knock your socks off version of The Age of Aquarius
and they still have 2 months to perfect it from this point in time.
I felt so thrilled to be present at the creative, spontaneous, inclusive circus that is our beloved dance community at its best. The performance for
    Hair will be April 25-28, 2013 - 7:30pm
    at Berklee Performance Center
(unfortunately same weekend as the Boston DNE Dance weekend, but perhaps we can do a dance friday field trip to thursday's performance.)"
