The fabulous, fun-filled evening begins with a warm-up from 8:30 to 8:45 and continues with dancing until midnight to the gargantuan grooves from DJs Ameila and Nina.

Dancers of all ages and abilities are invited to dance barefoot, any way you like, with or without a partner, in a smoke and alcohol free environment. Children are welcome.

Dance Friday is an activity of the non-profit Movement Collective. Suggested Donation: $10-15, under  23 years old $5-15, or donate 45 minutes of your time to help out.  We recommend casual, light-weight, comfortable clothing that you can  move in.

Hi Nik! There are two DJs every night, and we all play a pretty good variety of music,, some hip hop, some pop, some world music like various Latin styles, African, Indian, Middle Eastern, and then some funk. House, and a bit of everything else. So it varies a lot, but it's all fun & danceable & inspiring. No sexist, racist, homophobic etc crap. Come check us out! Some DJs take requests, too, especially in advance or during first set. All different tempos depending on temperature, dancers' energy level, etc. Too.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
