Fwd: Scott Frick Benefit

From: Tom R.
Sent on: Friday, February 14, 2014 11:35 AM

Hello, everyone.

There is a benefit being planned for Scott Frick on Friday, February 28th beginning at 5pm at the Smithville American Legion Post 58, just east of Smithville on 92.. Scott Frick is Russell Frick’s oldest son. Most of you know Russell as he is the gentleman that has been cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs for the Memorial Day Program lunch for us the last several years along with his wife Linda.

Scott went to the hospital on Christmas Eve with an extremely sore back. After tests were ran on him the doctor diagnosed him with Multiple Myeloma. Scott is also Penni’s husband Chris’ brother so everyone has the connection.

A hog roast and brisket dinner (free will donation)  will be served starting at 5pm. Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders will also be playing some good country music from 7-11pm.  There will be a Live Auction (believe it will start at 6pm or really close to that) along with silent auction and raffles. We are still accepting donation items.  If you have something you would like to donate please contact Linda Schmidt at [masked].  I’m also looking for desserts for this event. Would any of you ladies be willing to help us out by provided a dessert for this event? It would be greatly appreciated. Please email Pam Johnson or call her at (816)[masked] to let her know if you can provide a desert.  If you are on Facebook there is an event page “Farm Boy Scott Frick Kickin’ Cancer Benefit” with additional information. Attached is a flier for your review. Thank you for your support of this event.

AND, don't forget the dance this Saturday night at the Legion!

Dewayne Knott, Commander
