Huntington Beach Dog Beach

You know the drill: get there, have fun, then sleep like a baby the whole day after! Well, the latter will mostly apply to our Dane(s) only...

To make it worth the drive from the valley, we usually stay there 3 to 4 hours, unless sun or rain chases us away. Longer hours mean YOU CAN SHOW UP LATE,  yet won't miss the fun, but there's a chance you won's see everyone who attended...

We will meet south (east) from the tower #26.  The closest parking spot is the northernmost parking lot north of Goldenwest St. (or the very 1st lot if you are coming from Seapoint St.) Once you walk down the ramp from the parking lot to the beach, turn left towards the pier (and away from the tower) and look for the big dogs. We'll be a hundred+ yards ahead.

Parking is $1.50/hour and sometimes hard to find right away, but the line moves rather quickly. Both quarters and credit cards are accepted. Make sure to bring plenty of water for your dogs and yourself.

See you there!

Galina, Zora & Mona

We had a great time yesterday. We wish we could have stayed longer and meet the other danes. It was so nice to see all the new dane puppies in our group.

Duke, Jazmine and I met up with my son Michael, my daughter-in-law Natalie, my 2 granddaughters, Ava and Elly, and my grandson, Asher, at The Hungry Dog Cafe after the beach. They were so wiped out that my wife wasn't even able to wake them up to have their nightly treats. Lol

I'm so sorry we had to leave early. But, we only had 6 minutes left on the meter when we got there. So, actually, we were there for 3-1/2 hours. I didn't walk back on the sand from our walk because my hernia was hurting when we got to the Golden West ramp.

It was really fun for all. My Cobby was so exiting that he did not know where to go first "this one or hmmm...... which one I can play with? And when we get home you can see his dead body on the soffa with "art position". Nice to meet you all and see you next time!!!!!
I wish that my friends Eugine and Hana with their 2 beautifull Danes was there too !!!! Jane

That pic with Cobby on the sofa should be titled "One day at the beach AFTERMATH"... :)

The Danes ruled the beach today, and everybody noticed!
It was great to see old friends and meet new members. We thought all action will be over around noon or so, but then, one by one, "the second shift" of 5 or 6 Danes showed up and the party continued. Zora and I had to leave at 1pm (I stuffed the meter for 4,5 hours only), leaving behind several Danes still playing. Took over 600 pics today, so it will take me time to select ~50 worthy posting…… :) Fun day!
