Daniel Wright Toastmasters - Come learn Parliamentary Procedure!

SPECIAL ADDITION TO OUR NORMAL MEETING:
(see below for information on our regular meetings)

Are you intimidated at formal meetings and the "Rules?" Have you ever wanted to learn more about Parliamentary Procedure (Robert's Rules of Order) so that you can make your opinion heard? Starting January 7th at 6:30pm, there will be 5 -SHORT- FREE sessions that will make you more comfortable with the basic principles, common motions and rules regarding debate. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about and practice how to make certain motions. At the end of the 5-session program, you'll receive a certificate, the confidence to not be intimidated with meeting rules, and the knowledge of how to win your motion.

Here's the agenda:

Session 1 - January 7 - "Handling a Motion"
Session 2 - January 21 - "Subsidiary Motions"
Session 3 - February 4 - "Handling Privileged Motions"
Session 4 - February 18 - "Incidental Motions"
Session 5 - March 4 - "Additional Motions and Special Problems" and celebration immediately following

Each 15-minute session will be followed by a regular meeting of the Daniel Wright Toastmasters club where Parliamentary Procedure is practiced as part of the proven Toastmasters method of coaching people to confidence in public speaking and leadership. You’re invited to attend this NO COST Parliamentary Procedure training, and to stay afterwards for the Daniel Wright Toastmaster meeting.
Come to learn, stay for the friendship and fun!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
