Eddie is a good educator and a good guy. I attended his 4 day in Santa Fe on same subject and knew I would learn more on a second exposure. I was not disappointed. In fact, the added structure with the shortened time seemed to allow for more of his stories. I think Eddie is on a roll with his educating. I liked his DVD training on site - Big Sur.....A natural eye. I recommend it. I don't know if it is a money maker for him yet, but I hope so. I would like the opportunity for more of the effective on-site video training.

On the other hand, I enjoyed meeting a few of you during my first exposure to the Darkroom Gallery and a Meetup. I look forward to more Meetup opportunities and involvement with Ken and the Darkroom Gallery.

    Nice job.

How very fortunate we were to have such a skilled educator share his work and years of experience with us. Jumping from inspiration to technique seemlessly. Truly a rare experience.

Eddie was a great speaker explaining his way of crafting his vision of nature photography while inspiring us to find our vision and the "essence" of our vision. I liked the way he uses his camera and its basic functions to communicate his playful spirit and love of nature. A Great workshop!

This was an outstanding seminar. Engaging, insightful and well worth the trip from Orange County NY! I can highly recommend Eddie as an educator and speaker.

A weekend workshop with Eddie would be FANTASTIC! Shooting landscapes / nature / wildlife with him here in Vermont would be a terrific experience. I was thinking of trying to join his program in Maine, and a local event would be perfect.

This was an excellent workshop with a very clear and inspiring teacher. His concepts were very well illustrated with his own (and others) work, and the advice was simple but effective - easy to say, much harder to do. I particularly liked his approach as directed towards "universal" photography and concepts that would apply to almost any subject matter. The workshop was remarkably non-technical, and did not get hung up on this month's newest equipment or the newest software app. The attendance was excellent, the participants joined in and asked good questions, and the location was very good - even the giant 6-foot sandwich was tasty!

Sweet. Down to Earth with a touch of art and science. It also inspired me to use some of the many features on my camera that I have never used before. As I browsed the photos in e gallery I could see lots of examples of what Eddie was talking about. It would have been valuable to have his workshop before the gallery submissions deadline. I'd wager we all would have had submissions hanging on the gallery wall today!

Superbly clear, inspiring, I like that he concentrated almost completely on creative ideas. Workshops like this are a great service to our area and I appreciate it.

Presentation was very clear, informative and fun. I want to learn how to optimize the tools available in my camera with little photoshopping.
Eddie's techniques fell very close to how I want to take photos even though I consider myself a beginner. I got great ideas how to slow down, be playful and thoughtful while being in the moment. Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop.

Eddie is a great presenter and his work is inspiring. I thought it might be too basic but it was just what I needed.

Hi! I am looking forward to this workshop! Should we bring our camera along with a note pad? Or computer?

    January 25, 2014

    • Ken S.

      From Eddie:

In a four hour seminar (plus an hour for lunch) I put the emphasis on surrounding people with as many ideas as possible. In multi-day workshops I include opportunities for everyone to try the ideas with their cameras, and then make time to look at the results. From past experience, this can take hours, and would eat up a lot of the half day seminar.

People can bring a way to take notes if they wish.

I think I misread the cancellation policy...my bad! I will drop off a check, is there a deadline? Can I wait until the first week in January?

So this event is cancelled? I was so looking forward to it? Please advise!
