How do I do that? or How can I do that better? or our version of Stump the Chump

I don't know how many times I have a simple problem to solve that will just take 5 minutes if I could find the right person.  Well here's your chance.  I will make myself available for one and  a half hours and try to solve 10 problems.  Anything from shooting techniques to accomplish your intent, post processing methods, organization to printing and selling. Things like:

  • How do I use masks in Photoshop
  • How can I get rid of spots on my image
  • How do I clean up my tags in Lightroom
  • How do I resize my digital files
  • How can I put my photos on the Flickr Map
  • How can I get exposure control in my iPhone

The list goes on. Best of all, since there are no handouts or structure - IT'S FREE.

It's 10 problems and 10 problems only and one problem per person!  I'll dedicate 10 minutes max per problem and run a clock.  If I can't solve it I'll try to find someone that can or do the needed research.

Now, this is not a license to come in and ask something like "What's Lightroom all about?", or how do I use layers in Photoshop, or which camera should I buy (although we could probably come up with a check list of features you need). The problems should be specific. This is not a class with a curriculum. There are no handouts. Bring your camera and computer especially if your question is software related. I'll set up the projector so all can follow along.

Some may even be able to help with other's problems.

Should be fun!

Small group but that allowed us to spend more time on a few topics, that ended up being mostly working with layers in PhotoShop. We also talked about strategies for protecting your work when uploading to online services.
