    OK you have the spot metering working. You exposed for the building through the window perfectly. Blue sky can be a challenge when there is a darker foreground as in this case. Again since the sensor dynamic range is limited. Try some shots where you meter directly of the sky sacrificing everything else. One trick you can try is to meter while composing that there is mostly sky in the frame. Lock the exposure (usually half press the shutter release) then recompose and shoot. The building may be a bit underexposed but you may be better able to correct this in post processing.
