Join us in our Palo Alto office on August 21, 2013 at 6pm for our fourth DDW event:
"Moneyball for All": A New approach for finding Insights in Big Data Streams without breaking the bank
The premise of Moneyball is well known- if you use better data, you can find better insights; there are always market inefficiencies to exploit for value. But in the era of Big data—extremely large, changing sets of data related to consumer behavior, social network posts, geotagging, sensor outputs, and more - how do we make sense of all this massive amount of information? And how we empower every person to make decisions with this data?
This talk explores the progress of the "How" - in the development of new ways of analyzing, conceptualizing and thinking about data beyond the traditional methods that we have used for the last 25 years. We'll end with a discussion on some of the future "Hows" associated with Big Data -How do we want this to happen? What do we want it to do for us? How will it make the lives of every person on the planet better?
