Introduction

I'm a Graphics Editor at the Washington Post and I heard about Data Science DC at the Data Without Borders event this past weekend.

What is your level of experience with Statistics, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and/or Data Mining?

During college, I worked on projects involving Twitter sentiment analysis. I'm recently just starting to learn how to scrape data from websites.

What tools and technologies do you use?

HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Python, PHP, mySQL

What do you hope to get out of this group?

I want to network with other data professionals in D.C., build my skills, teach anyone who's interested the skills that I know, and have great conversations about data science in general.
