What is your level of experience with Statistics, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and/or Data Mining?

What tools and technologies do you use?

I use R/Splus in a rather lopsided way to analyze and graph network traffic since the late 1990's. To do this I hacked together the bitops package which I have maintained with only gentle prodding from Brian Ripley.

What do you hope to get out of this group?

I am particularly interested in the naive bayes meetup

I'm Steve Dutky. I work primarily as an uncertified network engineer with routers, firewalls, switches, and such.
