Hi everyone, I wanted to draw your attention to an event scheduled for the weekend of March 2nd that I hope many of us can attend:
Data Without Borders seeks to match non-profits in need of data analysis with freelance and pro bono data scientists who can work to help them with data collection, analysis, visualization, or decision support.
Are you a data scientist / data hacker / statistician who loves to explore data and wants to do some good at the end of the day?
Then come join the Data Without Borders DC Datadive! Hosted in partnership with the 2011 American Express NGen Fellows from Independent Sector, the DC Datadive teams selected organizations with data enthusiasts over the weekend to better understand their data, create analyses and insights, and receive free consultations. If you’re an organization who has a data-driven project or a socially conscious data hacker who wants to analyze non-profit data, please register!
DWB has run several very successful Datadives in the past, in SF and NYC, and I for one am hoping that DC can put together an equally great group of talented people for this event!
