I am probably that drunken executive! I keep recommending some of my client services to lots of people in the music industry and keep telling everybody that data is sexy!
I spend my life talking to clients in the music, tech and brands sectors and I know how important data is for all of them nowadays. I also remember when metadata was a term that brought fear to my older clients meanwhile nowadays all of them are aware of its importance to the success of their businesses.

I represent Midem, the annual global music/tech/brands event in Cannes, here in the UK. Many of our panels and seminars deal with subjects around Data and many of our start-ups and other clients work in this area (Musicmetric, Decibel, DDEX, etc).
