Today is Data Science Hackathon and the doors have opened for registration and all over the globe data scientists are preparing to solve a problem focused on “Building a local early warning systems to accurately predict dangerous levels of air pollutants on an hourly basis.”
More details on the contest are below, but we this is the closing event for Big Data Week and I want to say it has been an awesome week and thank you to all the attendees, speakers and helpers but one last thing if you would like to meet Data Scientists from around the world then you can, we have set up in each location a web cam and a remote Talk show so if you want to drop into a venue such as London and say talk to the contestants from New York then you can, but also with the London venue we have opened it up into Data Scientist day so please feel free to drop in and meet the UK teams, but also then go chat to the teams in the US or Australia.
