An opportunity to network, learn from others, and contribute however I can.
I have worked on a number of data intensive problems over my career. I have experience in analyzing anything from hospital inpatient records, to gene expression studies, education infrastructure data, genome sequence data, etc. and am interested in learning more about how others creatively solve problems. Currently I'm VP of Informatics at NextGxDx, an online genetic testing marketplace and clinical resource. Here, I manage a team of talented data scientists to drive the data behind the resource. I have a PhD in cell and developmental biology from Vanderbilt where I studied genetics and neural development and a fellowship in molecular endocrinology where I studied cell reprogramming. Published a few whitepapers too.
I am a scientist with an interest in using data to solve translational problems. I am fascinated by the creative problem solving methods employed across a number of fields and seek to learn more.
