What is your favorite tool for visualizing data?

I don't have a favorite. I'm currently learning Processing but tend to default to Tableau because it requires less brain power

Do you think data visualization is more of an art or more of a science? Why?

I would say it's art, science and psychology (cognitive, social and cultural). Ultimately, an effective visualization must be responsive to the various ways individuals interpret and use the information encoded in the visualization.
