What is your favorite tool for visualizing data?

I have primarily used the d3 javascript library

Do you think data visualization is more of an art or more of a science? Why?

I think it is a combination of both. There is cognitive science involved in understanding how the mind processes the data, but like any craft, it is an art to do it well.
