(We're investing a lot of time and effort building a great community here so it's important that we know at least a little bit about our members. Please answer all questions, even if briefly!). #1: Why are you interested in "the business of data"?

For more than a decade I've been an advocate for the development of the .nyc TLD as a public interest resource - as digital infrastructure. With the Net ever more central to the operation and life in the city, and the capability to create an organized system of URIs, I'm wondering if city TLD might be viewed as big data.

Where do you work (name of company, institution) or study (name of school) and what do you do?

I'm the foundign director of Connecting.nyc Inc, a NYS not for profit. And I'm a member of the mayor's .NYC Advisory Board.

Please confirm your first name AND last name (we must provide a full list to venue security prior to events; you will not be authorized into the building without this info and an ID)
