Greetings Dataist, April is a busy month with events like Philly Tech Week, Philly ETE, PyCon in Montreal (good luck Mike) and tax returns are due. However, we hope you can find some time to meet on April 16th and hear two great talks. After the talks, let's gather at the new Conshohocken Brewery down the street.

6:00 - 6:30pm - Networking/Food

6:30 - 7:00pm: Predicting Art in Python by Daniel Forsyth

7:05 - 7:35pm: TBD by Rob Lass

7:45 - 8:00pm: Lightning Talks

8:00pm: Conshohocken Brewing

Title: Predicting Artists in Python

Abstract: Applying computer vision techniques using openCV with machine learning in scikit-learn to predict artists using images of paintings. This talk will feature an introduction to both openCV and scikit-learn and then focus on leveraging them both to make predictions on images.

Bio: Daniel Forsyth is currently a junior at Drexel University. He is studying information systems and his main interests lie in data science, machine learning, and sports analytics.
