Hi, I'm co-founder of The Compass Project, an awesome physics education community, and want to work on more projects connecting high school students, undergrads, and graduate students to take on data projects to support their communities.

I'm from the Bay Area, but am planning on moving to Chicago soon and am interested in seeing what's going on in chicago w/ data projects with an eye toward connecting science grad students up with younger students toward taking on community data-related projects.
What will you bring to the potluck?
enthusiasm, skills in founding new programs, skills in science and statistics education.
In the spirit of sharing, do you have a method, software or application that you are super excited about learning, showing or teaching other members about?
I'm really curious how to best support undergrad/grad students in science to track their own growth in skill development, so I've been getting excited recently about ways we can use visualization tools to help us really understand our improvement.
