I'm at KPMG in a broad team of data specialists, where we work with organizations to set up the iron, the analytics and the organization to leverage big data.
I'm active as a consultant in among others insurance, banking and telecom.
I hope to meet fellow quants, learn new tips and tricks and generally have a good time.
Big Data, Recommender systems, Monte Carlo simulation, dynamic systems, general data science in business, ...
I've worked with and contributed to Monte Carlo simulation packages (c++). I've translated quantum (chromo) dynamics into workable probabilistic models. I've developed a model to uncorrelate folded experimental efficiencies from statistical measurement data.
Before joining KPMG I was working at CERN experiments. The expertise that lives there should not be restricted to science alone. Data science and quantitative analysis are more and more invaluable in all sectors. Big Data needs big data scientists
