I hope you all found each other and made use of the reserved table.
Many thanks for attending, i did not get a chance to mingle as i was selling merchandise but i did recognize John Isaacs, George James and Tom for your profile pics just now.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had plenty of good food.
Would be great to get feedback good or bad so we can make next years event even better.

Hello All, I had afabulous time- excellent wine selection, good food, above all very nice people.
Richard, a couple of us ordered wines and have not yet heard anything. Who can we follow-up with regarding this? The woman we gave our information to said it'd be about a week and they would call us. She didn't provide us with any other information.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the door if you need last minute decisions to make
If you require a table for the group, i would need to know group numbers by the end of next week really

Thx Richard. So far it looks like we have 6 committed attendees! How often do we get a chance to taste more than 200 wines, craft beer and dine in fine company. I trust you will all have a great time. I envy you as I will be recovering from surgery for a navel hernia on the 16th, but I hope many of you will join me for dinner on January 29th @ Malee Thai in Ridgewood!

We look forward to seeing you all and having a fun night and enjoying the wine and atmosphere
Are we planning to attend the event as a meetup group? For example; will be getting a table for the meetup group or meeting at a specific location for those of us coming solo?
I am having surgery for a navel/umbilical hernia on January 16 and do not intend to go to this event myself. However, if you, another member or group of members would like to organize a table that's OK by me. Hoewever, this event is a huge tasting opportunity with nearly 200 wines plus lots of craft beers presented buffet style (as is the food) and so it may not be conducive for a sit-down, social experience. It will present ample opportunity to mingle with about 300 or more guests. Cheers!
I hope to nail down a more formal evening during the last week of January and hope to close on reservations today. Yesterday the restaurant seemed closed all day so today I will take a drive over and see what's up. Moreon this soon.
As David said we usually have a more open forum rather than sit down event, we will have high style bar tables for small groups to gather, however if there is a wish by many in this group to get a large table i can see what we can do - i would just need to know numbers if anyone can let me know ASAP so we can make sure the layout is appropriate.
Thanks Richard. I'll look to the rest of the group if they want to reserve a table. I was mainly asking if we were going to meet and walk around together sampling and talking about the wines, etc. I'll most likely be attending on my own so I'll keep my eye out for members of the group and catch up as we go along. Looking forward to it!
When do we have to commit to this event? I'd like to come but won't know for a few days.
Thanks for the information..

Will there ever be anything that's not in Bergen County? Thanks!
Yes, there will be an event in Pompton Lakes within a month or two and in the spring we expect to meet at a restaurant in Jersey City. Other venues depend on the planning committee to be formed at our next dinner. Stay tuned, I wll announce it within a day or two. Thx dave
Thanks so much. Pompton Lakes sounds great. I hope to meet you then. Happy New Year!
sorry, that comment was meant for someone else
Happy New Year to all...
Happy New Year! I strongly recommend this meet-up and I thank Richard Wilson for posting it. I attended last year's annual wine tasting fund raiser at the same venue as a vendor and it was a terrific time. There will be over 100 wines, etc., and the food is terrific. You will also have the opportunity to buy any of the wines that you like through Maratenes W & L in Wakdwick. All proceeds support the Waldwick Community Alliance. As much as I would like to attend this year I doubt I will be well enough since I will be recovering from surgical procedure scheduled a few days prior. Best wishes & enjoy to all who do attend!

just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
